Title: Charmed baryon resonances from a unitary coupled-channel approach with heavy-quark symmetry

Keywords: charmed baryon resonances, heavy-quark symmetry

Abstract:
We study charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically within a unitary meson-baryon coupled-channel model which incorporates heavy-quark symmetry. This is accomplished by extending the t-channel vector-meson exchange SU(4) models to SU(8) spin-flavor symmetry and implementing a strong flavor symmetry breaking. The model generates dynamically resonances with negative parity in all the isospin-spin sectors that one can form from a s-wave interaction between pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with  1/2+ and 3/2+ baryons. Some of our dynamically generated states can be readily assigned to recently observed baryon resonances, as for example the Lc(2595), Lc(2625) and the Sc(2800), while others do not have a straightforward identification and require the compilation of more data as well as an extension of the model to higher partial waves. We also obtain the coupled D and D* self-energies in nuclear matter, since this model treats heavy pseudoscalar and vector mesons on equal footing as required by heavy-quark symmetry. We then compared our results to previous SU(4) approaches.
