Title: Vectormeson photoproduction at ELSA

Keywords: vectormeson, photoproduction

Abstract:
Photo and electroproduction of vectormesons is an indispensable tool to fully understand the multi-body hadronic structure of the nucleon. In this talk status and perspectives of the photoproduction of vectormesons off the nucleon at the ELSA facility will be discussed.
With the present setup of the Crystal-Barrel/TAPS detector the focus is on the photoproduction of omega mesons, detected through their decay into pi0 gamma. Single and double polarization observables have been measured and recent results will be discussed. A new detector setup of large-acceptance forward dipole spectrometer and a BGO ball surrounding the target will be introduced which is presently being installed. It provides excellent detection capabilities for forward going charged particles. This will enable studies of the photoproduction of Phi mesons off proton and neutron.
