Scientific Activities:

The center organizes topic research programs, conferences, workshops and seminars on current physics issues of world concern, and the physics issues associated with the large-scale science facilities, especially those with significant Chinese experimental participation. The Center supports academic activities such as joint research projects, and graduate student training programs. The center invites guest scientists from China and abroad for joint researches at the center.

Visiting Research Programs :

The center will setup some visiting research projects , which are closely related to the activities at the large-scale scientific facilities. The interested physicists in China and abroad can apply for the visiting research project according to the guide published by the center. After approval by the Scientific Committee , the successful applicant can come and work at the Center with the entire Center provided equipments and living allowances.

Joint Research Projects :

The Center encourage its research staff and the scientists from other institutions both in China and abroad to apply jointly for research projects set by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MSTC).

Guest Scientist Programs :

Guest Scientist Programs support the mid- to long-term visit at the Center.

The Center will invite outstanding scientists from other institutions both in China and abroad to work at the Center for half year to one year.

Young scientists can apply for visiting scientist positions and postdoctoral positions. The appointment may last one to three years.

Topic Programs

A topic program is a scientific activity for small and medium size research groups of scientists focusing on a special topic of current world-wide interest in physics, particularly associated with the large-scale science facilities with significant Chinese experimental participation.

The purpose of topic programs is for building up leading research groups in the corresponding areas through intensive discussions and joint researches. This program requires the involved participants staying at the Center from one week to one month. During the activity, invited speakers may give a set of lectures, and joint-research work on a specially selected research topic is particularly preferred. The local expenses of guests will be supported by the Center.

Topic programs are chosen through the call for programs each year.
